Renovations . . .

For the chickens!  The big chickens received a cage extension in an effort to regain control of egg production  :)  We had to resort to buying eggs from the store because all of the chickens were hiding them from me.  Now they are confined to the cage with an option for parole in the afternoons AFTER laying their eggs.  We also rounded up our missing hens and their new chicks (the obvious result of egg hiding)  Our chicks from the beginning of the year are full grown and laying now too.

Wow, What A Watermelon!

When we returned from our vacation a welcome sight greeted us in the garden - a 15lb watermelon and a bunch of other produce
