Sunday Fun Day

The kids enjoyed a sleepover at the Holdom's last weekend before school started and then we all got together for a family afternoon.  We devoured a delicious lunch including watermelon for dessert.

Then the boys (including the adult ones) spent some time playing with - read crashing - a remote control plane.  After it had reached the point of no return they completely dismantled it to see what they could create.

A couple of hours later . . .

They went through a few more iterations (and cars) before settling on a design they liked.

Meanwhile the girls were exploring the possibilities of some garden pots when we found . . .

a huge Black Widow spider - a creature both intriguing and intimidating.

  1. Wow engineering has come along way since I remember building a Eiffel tower replica ;)

The spider looks like a red back we have down here, they are very deadly. Is it poisonous?
